Slide 2…..( Lab Prep CCC™ ……..Unit closed )

In order to meet European CE and other safety standards for instruments with rotating parts, the Quattro CCC™ LabPrep rotor chamber is constructed of 10mm Aluminum. The unit has the required substantial hinges and door interlocks, plus a brake button on the front panel. A Key is used to restrict usage to appropriate personnel. The door cannot be opened when the rotor is moving and the motor is disabled when the door is open.

A hydraulic strut is used to facilitate door opening and closing.

All electrical components are isolated from the rotor chamber and airflow is always forced into the chamber. When the door is closed this air is constantly flushing the rotor to prevent build up of solvent vapours if a leak occurs. A drain is also provided. The option exists to monitor solvent leaks and have custom commands if a leak is detected.

The airflow can allow the option of precise temperature control. Above ambient temperature control is a self-contained unit within the instrument; sub-ambient rotor temperature control requires an optional external air chiller to feed the instrument with pre-chilled air.

Up to six pairs flying lead ( in and out, called Head and Tail ) can be accommodated on the front panel below the door for convenient pump and detector / fraction collector connection of bobbins with multi coil options.

Thus one instrument could have a variety of coil options.
