This
slide shows the five different solvent systems utilized :- A, B, C, D and E;
where the proportions of hexane, ethyl acetate and water were mantained and
we varied only the methanol ratios,
from 0.1 to 2.5. In order to ascertain
whether this gradient will work, before going to the counter-current chromatograph
itself, we performed test tube partitioning tests and TLC visualized the results.
